What the run challenge does

FireRed and LeafGreen are back on Nintendo Switch as standalone eShop releases. This run challenge builds a fresh playthrough from a seed: the starter you must take, one or two Pokémon to catch before each gym (always ones you can reach and catch by then on your version, at a level you can use), a level cap at the leader's strongest Pokémon, a team-size limit and an optional twist. Trade evolutions are flagged, since most people can't trade on Switch. Tick things off as you go; the checklist is saved in your browser.

A seeded run

The same seed always builds the same run, so friends can race the exact same challenge.

Catchable by then

Every target can be caught before that gym on your version, at a level under the cap.

Gym rules

A level cap at the leader's ace, a team-size limit and an optional twist for every gym.

No trades needed

Kadabra, Machoke, Graveler and Haunter are flagged: they stop evolving without a trade.

Share the link

Copy the run as text for chat, or as a link that opens the same run.

Checklist

Tick off catches and badges as you go; saved in your browser per run.
